SEO copywriting

Copywriting is the craft of writing text on your website to entice it's readers into buying a product or service from your company. It is basically writing marketing text content. While copywriting gets helps you make a sale once you have your customers' attention it won't guarantee you a strong search engine presence. So what you would want to do is to write text content on a page in a way that is readable to both surfers/customers and search engine spiders. This is what we call SEO Copywriting. The main objective of SEO copywriting is to incorporate in demand search keywords(and phrases as well) on search engine in the text content of your website.

To start working on it, is to gather up search keywords by finding out what keywords people use when inputting their search phrases on search engines. Popular search keywords are usually found using keyword search tools such as Overture keyword search tool, Google adwords keyword tool or Wordtracker. Usually, the top 10 to twenty keywords are commonly used so once the keywords are gathered, text content is created around each of these keywords and posted on your website. Your search engine optimized search content creates windows for search engines to crawl on your site when people type in those keywords during a search. Therefore search engine optimized website content can dramatically help you increase sales by increasing your search engine presence. SEO copywriters would usually limit the repetition of a particular key phrase around 8-10% of the whole content to prevent over optimization or involuntary spamming as it is detrimental on getting your website a high search engine rank.

Another use for SEO copywriting is to make search engine optimized articles or press releases that you can submit to ezine, article and press release directories which is a way of making other websites advertise for you to help you increase web traffic and make bigger profit.
